Joseph Sage: Graduate art historian, reclaimer of ancient architectural elements, carver and museum curator. Head of Phoenician Stone a family owned architectural reclamation business since 1943. Our family business is named after our cultural & ancestral homeland of Cyprus & Lebanon where the Phoenicians traders thrived. Our Philosophy of integrational design creates a bond between the beginning and the end, a link between the future and the past were all the material and temporal barriers fail and living in the now becomes timeless and absolute transcending styles and classification. We feel strongly about focusing on that is important in ones life. For instance, when we place a 15th century mantle in an ultra modern living room we are implanting the sole of our client's home. The notion of modern is only relative and becomes a hollow shell if not expressed as a linear manifestation of what preceded it. In other words if it can't be juxtaposed with its roots its existance will be ephemeral and it will never achieve timelessness...
